Confirmation Program

Holy Spirit's Confirmation program is a two-year program beginning in the 7th grade and in reaching its culmination in the 8th grade with the actual reception of the Sacrament. Please pray for all of our Confirmation Candidates!

"Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent them Peter and John who went down and prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit, for it had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.” Acts ch 8 v 14-17.

"The sacrament of Confirmation impresses a character and by it the baptized, continuing on the path of Christian initiation, are enriched by the gift of the Holy Spirit and bound more perfectly to the Church; it strengthens them and obliges them more firmly to be witnesses to Christ by word and deed and to spread and defend the faith." (Canon 879)
